The Style Mansion: Seventies

The Style Mansion blog is an extention of my fashion website,which features independent designers. I started the site early last year by myself. It has been harder than I thought but thoroughly enjoyable!
The Lady of the Manor (me!) runs around sourcing new talent to feature in The Style Mansion. I often visit the famous London markets such as Covent Garden ( where Professor Higgins discovered the beautiful flower girl Eliza Dolittle/Audrey Hepburn in My Fair Lady)or Portabello Road (where Julia Roberts was simply gorgeous in Notting Hill) looking for new designers.
The Style Mansion champions those designers who have a passion for what they do and a reslove to do it.
I would love to hear from you if you would like to showcase your designs on The Style Mansion. Whether you it is your full time vocation or hobby,all are welcome. All designers are given free profile space on the site. You can also retail your work on my site for a teeny weeny percentage!

Seventies

Seventies fashion is coming around again. Bell bottom flares and blouses covered in bright happy colours and rainbows dancing. The latest fashion mags are showing you how to put it all together and where to get it from. If it's your thing I suggest your local charity/thrift shop will do. Also Brick Lane Market, Portabello and Brixton Market should serve you well. Alternatively, see if anyone you know has anything stored away from that era - you never know, and you'll get something far more original than some of the mock stuff that's being churned out right now.
